Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember—literally. I've had a dog in my family since my earliest memories, and from a young age, I’ve always felt a deep connection with them. That bond led me to start volunteering at animal shelters when I was little, where I realized just how much I wanted to help these incredible animals.

I went to college to pursue dentistry, but as much as I enjoyed my studies, I knew my true calling was elsewhere. I made the decision to decline dental school so I could dedicate myself fully to helping shelter dogs find homes and raise awareness in this often-overlooked industry.

That’s where Pink Tongue comes in. I believe bandanas are a fun and simple way to showcase the personality of shelter dogs, making them stand out and giving them a better chance of being adopted. The name Pink Tongue was inspired by the idea that when a dog’s pink tongue is showing, it means they’re happy. And a happy dog brings so much joy to our lives—a happy dog means a happy life.

I’ve always wanted to make a positive impact in the world, but it wasn’t until I started running with shelter dogs that I truly found my calling.

During my senior year of college, I teamed up to start a social media page dedicated to raising awareness for dog adoption. At the time, I was still searching for a career path, and this mission to help shelter animals really struck a chord with me.

Dogs have always been a special part of my life—I grew up with a family dog and have fond memories of my cousins’ dog sled races. After visiting shelters and seeing so many dogs waiting for homes, I realized how deeply dogs rely on humans and how much they enrich our lives.

This shared passion led me to grow our social media presence and embark on a mission to create content, run with shelter dogs, and raise awareness for their adoption. Over time, this inspired the creation of our bandana company, Pink Tongue

At Pink Tongue, we’re driven by our passion for helping shelter animals, but we aim to represent the cause as a whole. When you purchase a Pink Tongue Bandana, you’re not just getting a cute accessory for your dog. You’re actively shopping to represent this mission.
